Senior Business Analyst – Banking sector
For our client, an IT company, we are recruiting a Business Analyst – banking sector – senior level, minimum 5 years in a similar position in a bank.
Responsibilities:
Performs more complex analyses, including impact assessments for business initiatives.
Proposes solutions for optimizing banking processes.
Coordinates smaller activities within projects.
Collaborates with IT, Risk, or Compliance teams to align requirements.
Required competencies and skills:
Bachelor’s degree in economics, mathematics, computer science or a related field
Good knowledge of banking products and processes
5+ years of experience in business analysis, IT consulting or software development
Experience with SQL, JIRA, Confluence, UML, BPMN, Microsoft Visio and BI tools
Analytical & problem-solving attitude, strong attention to detail and critical thinking
Ability to work with cross-functional teams and communicate insights to both technical and non-technical audiences
Knowledge of scrum methodology and experience working in an agile collaborative environment is a plus
Necessary knowledge and expertise: To successfully perform the duties, the analyst must possess solid knowledge and expertise in at least one of the following areas:
Banking operations: understanding operational flows, managing back-office and middle-office processes.
Payments: functioning of national and international payment systems (e.g., SEPA, SWIFT), processing mechanisms, and associated regulations.
Risk and compliance: identifying, assessing, and managing financial, operational, and regulatory risks; ensuring compliance with internal and external regulations.
Anti-fraud: identifying and preventing fraud, as well as continuous monitoring of transactions and customer behavior.
Digital: knowledge of digital banking solutions, digital transformation, mobile applications, and other innovative technological tools.
Retail, corporate, and SME clients: understanding the specific needs of different client categories and customizing solutions for each segment.
Banking products and associated services: expertise in the structure and functioning of banking products (current accounts, loans, savings, leasing, etc.) and associated services (insurance, consulting).
Treasury: understanding the activities of managing liquidity, investments, and financial risks of the bank.
The analyst collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to understand business needs, proposes tailored solutions, and contributes to the success of strategic and operational projects.
This role involves a deep understanding of the functioning of a financial institution and active involvement in initiatives that contribute to improving the organization’s performance, respecting current regulations.
