Reporting Specialist *(Romania Market, SaaS)

For my client, an IT company, i am recruiting a Financial Controller

Location: Bucharest, Timpuri noi, hybrid 4 days onsite, 1 wfh

Main Responsibilities

•          Develop and implement interactive reports and dashboards in Power BI to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs).

•          Use Power Query to extract, transform, and load data from multiple sources to automate reporting workflows.

•          Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends, discrepancies, and optimization opportunities.

•          Collaborate with various departments (Finance, Sales, Operations) to understand reporting needs and deliver customized solutions.

•          Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of data in all generated reports.

•          Maintain and update existing reports to reflect changes in the business environment.

•          Contribute to the continuous improvement of reporting and data analysis processes.

•          Responsible for reporting all sales, products, licenses, and other indicators for Romania, in coordination with the headquarters (HQ).

•          Build and maintain weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc management reports using Excel and Power BI.

•          Automate manual reporting processes and create dashboards used by management for commercial and operational decisions.

Ideal Candidate Profile (Requirements)

To succeed in this role, we place a special emphasis on the following three key areas:

•          Good or very good knowledge of Power Query and Power BI. These are the tools we are increasingly using in our processes and are essential to help the team automate numerous reporting workflows. Practical experience in creating complex data models and visualizations is a major advantage.

•          At least a good understanding of corporate finance principles. Although our main priority is technical skills, a solid foundation in finance is necessary. Company-specific principles will be further developed during the onboarding process, but we rely on a solid general understanding of financial concepts.

•          Previous experience in a similar role. This aspect gives us confidence that the potential candidate is already familiar with an international environment, its standards, and will seamlessly adapt to our organizational culture.
